TThanh Hoa Province is located in the North Central region of Vietnam, 150 km from Hanoi, 1,560 km from Ho Chi Minh City (1 hour 40 minutes by air); the West of the province borders the Lao People's Democratic Republic, with a border of 213.6 km; the East is the Gulf of Tonkin with a coastline of 102 km; the North borders the provinces of Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Son La; the South borders Nghe An province.
